Hello Kitty and Mac Cosmetics Launching Line in February

Back in August, there was a rumour that Sanrio might be teaming up with Mac Cosmetics and lo and behold it’s coming February 10th on Mac’s web site. It will be in stores in North America 2 days later. You can pre-order on January 7th.

If you’re worried how much $$ you’ll be spending they have 2 lines: the Hello Kitty Colour Collection and the more upscale Hello Kitty Kouture line. Most of the make up is in the less expensive group.

The types of Hello Kitty Colour Collection products you’ll find include: lipstick, eye shadow, eye liner, powder, nail polish, mascara and false lashes. Prices range from $12 to $38. The Hello Kitty Kouture includes a similar offering but the containers are like a Hello Kitty dream of Swarovski crystals and other glittery decorations. Additionally, the Kouture line has makeup bags ($22 and $35).

Just so you don’t get confused, let me clarify where you can and can’t the various items. The Hello Kitty Kouture line will only be available online and at MAC stores. The Hello Kitty Colour Collection will be available at in Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, MAC stores and online. There are some special items which can be found at MAC stores, Nordtrom and maccosmetics.com only: plush doll ($42), purse mirror ($22), three-brush collection ($49.50). The following items can be found at maccosmetics only: tote ($45), vanity kit ($55).
