Being Japanese I love seeing all the cute Hello Kitty dolls in kimonos. In particular, I studied Japanese dance for over 25 years and some of the dolls are shown doing famous Japanese dances. Kind of a thrill for me to see!

Where are the best places to find these type of Hello Kitty dolls in Japan. My daughter is in Nagoya presently studying abroad and she and my other daughter is a huge Hello Kitty fan.
Hi Mochamomma,
Here’s a website that lists places to shop for Sanrio items: http://www.sanrio.co.jp/shoppinginjapan/english/shop/index.html. There’s one store in Nagoya listed called JR Nagoya Takashimaya. Also, although it’s been over 20 years since I went to Japan, I do remember a lot of the big department stores had Hello Kitty items.
Hello!
I absolutely adore this Hello Kitty kimono doll! Although I am sure that it is expensive, I still have to know if it was ever for sale in the US, and if so, for how much??
I have been a Hello Kitty fan my entire life (she and I are the same age! hee hee), and now that I have a baby girl, I plan on continuing the legacy!
There is a Sanrio Lux store in Manhattan (Times Square), but I have never seen anything quite as exquisite as this!
I’m a Hello Kitty’s fan! … Thanks for publishing this blog… your post, images and information are just great… we learn a lot with them… 🙂 Sandra (Guayaquil, Ecuador)
I really love how the kimono suits her body and how it flows in one of the pictures!
