Hello Kitty Birthday Party Decorations at Party Bazaar

I forgot about these pics I took at Party Bazaar way back in June (getting stuff for my son’s birthday party). Basically, Party Bazaar is a store dedicated to party supplies whether it’s birthdays, a Hula party or some other party. They’re located right by the Main Street Skytrain Station.  Anyways, while I was there I discovered they have a Hello Kitty birthday party section. Here’s what I saw (prices are pretty reasonable there by the way!):

Hello Kitty Birthday Party Goodies

I just got back from Burlington and Seattle in the US. I took lots of Hello Kitty pictures which I’ll be posting over the next while. My first stop was at Target in Burlington. Here are photos of items you could use for a Hello Kitty Birthday Party including: invitations, gift bags (and cute stuff to put in them), plates and more.

I found these boxes in the clearance section of Target.  I think they would make a great alternative to gift bags:

It’s hard to tell but these are Hello Kitty compact mirrors:

I also found these in the clearance section too.  Guess what all the girls in my 4 year old’s class are getting in their Christmas goody bag? 🙂

Christina’s Hello Kitty Party

I think lots of girls dream of having a Hello Kitty party and I was lucky enough to get an email from Christina.  She asked for a few ideas on throwing a Kitty party for her soon to be 3 year old girl.  I gave her some ideas and then she kindly sent me pictures.  I was blown away by the amazing job she did.  I liken her work to planning a wedding reception with lots of little details she added to make a perfect Hello Kitty birthday party.  Here are her pictures:

Gotta love her homemade nametags:

She got containers from Daiso Aberdeen, stickers from a dollar store, erasers & key tags from Aberdeen:

She pre-ordered these plain cookies at the local bakery then decorated each one herself:

She made cut-outs of pink paw-prints for the wall (so simple and really cute!):

She bought Helly Kitty (and My Melody) marshmallow lollipops at T&T Renfrew location in Vancouver:

Thanks so much Christina for sharing! 🙂

I’m sure everyone got loads of ideas from Christina’s pictures. By chance, 2 mommies contacted me the past month for some ideas. Here are some inexpensive ways to have a Hello Kitty party:

Hello Kitty Cookie Ideas:

-Turn your cake into a Hello Kitty cake by decorating it with your Hello Kitty cookies.
-Perfect for gift bags! Just add Hello Kitty cookies to a clear bag and tie with a pretty pink ribbon.
-Add your Hello Kitty cookies to ice cream sundaes.

Games and cards:

-Play pin the ribbon on the Hello Kitty face.
-Print out pictures of Hello Kitty and then with leftover fabric, stickers, etc. girls can go crazy decorating their kitty.
-Print out pictures of Hello Kitty and attach them to a ribbon to create decorations.
-Print out pictures of Hello Kitty and cut a circle around it. Then glue to a pretty piece of paper for thank-you cards. If you like Michael’s, sign up for their email list and you can get a 40% off coupon I think on 1 item.
-Buy a plain tablecloth and then add decorations to it. My cousin recently planned a transformers party and she got a plain tablecloth and then a plastic see-through cover to go on top of that. In between she put pictures her son had colored of transformers. Really personal and then every year she can just put different pictures in.
