Sanrio and Simmons Jewelry Corp. have entered into an agreement to sell exclusive Hello Kitty fine jewelry at Zales Stores including: Zales, Gordon’s, Peoples and Mappins stores. They became available in both the United States and Canada on November 1st which is the iconic kitty’s birthday.
Prices range from $150 to $500 with the exception of one special piece called the “Lock and Key Kitty Pendant” which will sell for $995.
Thanks to the popularity of the “Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty” jewelry line, this line is probably going to be a big hit. It is targeted toward women aged 18 to 34. The collection will include earrings, necklaces, charm bracelets and watches decorated with Hello Kitty.
The design style is definitely elegant and simple. However, so far the pieces don’t look all that different than Kimora Lee Simmons collection. I prefer Kimora’s line more because it’s cuter and more playful, but I definitely like the much lower prices at Zales stores.
Btw, the “Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty” jewelry line is a luxurious line with prices ranging from $350 to $3,500 and some special pieces as high as $50,000 like the one Britney Spears wore in a video.
What do you think of the two lines? Here are pictures of items from both collections.
